Dove Ice Cream is manufactured by M&M/Mars. They started their packaged ice cream line only in 2004.  Before that, they had the delicious Dove Ice Cream Bar which was started by a Greek candy shop owner from South-side Chicago.  The candy shop owner, Leo Stefanos, developed the rich, creamy ice cream dipped in chocolate so his son and daughter wouldn’t run out to the streets when they heard the ice cream truck come by.

The chocolates are good….smoother than any American chocolate brand you’ll get.  But the ice cream is just rich and smooth and loaded with chocolate ganache.  In fact, when you open their pints, all you’ll see is a thick, dark topping of the ganache!

Crack that thick chocolate and one of the best ice creams you’ll ever taste lies beneath…with more chocolate ganache pieces to double your enjoyment of the rich ice cream. We got three different flavors this time: Caramel Pecan Perfection, Irressistably Raspberry and Unconditional Chocolate.  Mix these three together and you have a tantalizing and delicious medley of flavors.  Forget sundae toppings and sauces, top it with a fresh cherry and part of the chocolate ganache and enjoy.
